Abstract.<\/strong> Within the framework of the concept of \u201ceconomic order\u201d, proposed in the early 1990s by G.P. Luzin, scientific and experimental activity is considered as a special profile of the economy with its increasing importance in social reproduction. Such activity is inevitable as a prerequisite for the country’s technological sovereignty, but it requires special attention from the state and business. Above all, it is necessary to consider the cross-cutting nature of science as a direct productive force and the ways in which it can be integrated into production processes. Science-practice cooperation could be more effective if the industrial science sector is revived. Furthermore, it would be advisable to create pilot plants where the products include not only mass-produced goods and prototypes, but also innovative technologies. The economies of Russia’s European North regions can receive additional impetus for development thanks to the scientific and experimental focus of their economies, which includes the selection of innovative geo- and biotechnologies and methods for territorial management. The scientific and experimental activities of economic entities are part of an economy governed by classical commodity-money relations. There is no need to label it as a special economy such as green, alternative, digital, or the like.<\/p>\n
